CIMT requires a full time senior neurological physiotherapist to join our team and deliver Constraint Induced Movement Therapy programmes for children and adults in Manchester and Liverpool. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a rapidly expanding team of therapists dedicated to providing patient-centred, evidence based treatment that achieves meaningful results.

The role also involves service development, service promotion and assisting with supervising junior therapists. There is also opportunity to take a wider caseload alongside CIMT programmes to maintain wider neurological rehabilitation skills.

We require a physiotherapist that has:

  • A passion for evidence-based neurological rehabilitation

  • Knowledge of the principles of CIMT

CIMT - Junior Physiotherapist

CIMT are looking for full time Junior Physiotherapists to join our Constraint Induced Movement Therapy services in Manchester and Liverpool. The role primarily involves assisting with delivery of Constraint Induced Movement Therapy ("CIMT") programmes to children. CIMT is an evidenced based treatment for the upper limb. A CIMT programme aims to increase use of a weak upper limb by intensive play-based task practice for the weaker limb while restraining use of the stronger limb.

CIMT offer evidence based programmes that are not available on the NHS. This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding service and assist in a treatment that can achieve meaningful results.

Your Role With Us

The successful candidate will have a varied role. Alongside assisting with paediatric CIMT programmes, there would be the opportunity to build skills with a wider caseload in neurological rehabilitation or musculoskeletal treatment. Your development will be supported by a team of experienced senior therapists and a comprehensive training programme.

Personal Requirements

We require full time junior/basic grade physiotherapists to work across Manchester & Liverpool, assisting with Constraint Induced Movement Therapy programmes for children and building an additional caseload of their own. This is a unique opportunity for recent graduates looking to start a career within physiotherapy, with a focus on innovative, evidence-based therapies.

We are looking for physiotherapists who:

  • Have knowledge and experience of neurological rehabilitation
  • Have had experience working with children
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Have an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Are passionate about helping their patients achieve meaningful results
  • Are able to motivate people in challenging situations to maximise their potential
  • Have excellent organisational and IT skills
